Special mention should be made of Christianne Tisdale and Philip Hoffman, playing the roles of Mrs. and Mr. Beane, a middle-class, middle-aged couple traveling second class but (at least in Mrs. Beane's case) yearning to be part of first. Their comedic timing was matched by their ability to play with the audience's emotions and expectations.
