CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER by Tony Brown |
The lone actress who
plays multiple women in this Rogers saga also turns out to
be the lone unmitigated delight of the entire show.
Her name is
Christianne Tisdale, and she steals the show with a bravura
comic turn as Ethel Merman, bellowing and braying and
belting in the Gershwins' Broadway smash "Girl Crazy."

The most memorable cast member is Christianne
Tisdale, who sparkles into the many roles that she takes on in this
piece. Her shining moment her powerful and fun portrayal of Ethel Merman in
the Broadway musical Girl
Crazy. Ms. Tisdale truly has a powerful personality and a heck of a
belt! |

FOR ALL EVENTS by
Charles Jarrett |
Christianne Tisdale plays a plethora of female characters so well that I
had to keep looking back at my program to make sure that they were all done
by this one really special talent. When she played the parts of Ethel
Merman, Katherine Hepburn, Betty Davis or Marlene Dietrich or anyone else,
you knew immediately who she was imitating. This lady can do it all: dance,
sing and act!

COOL
CLEVELAND by Elsa Johnson |
The 3rd woman in the show,
Christianne Tisdale, played a plethora of roles, both female and male, some
minor a script girl, a personal assistant and some anything but minor
including a string of excruciatingly (in a good sense) priceless parodies of
Ethel Merman, Katharine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich. We found Tisdales
portrayal of Rogers French husband, Jacques Bergerac, particularly choice
(listen for the vibrato inevitable in francophone singers). Watch out for
this girl; one minute shes part of the scenery, the next minute shes
stealing the show.

An outstanding Christianne Tisdale sparkles as a host of comic characters

Jacques Bergerac).

But without a doubt, the actress who steals the
limelight is Christianne Tisdale , whom you may remember from Beauty and
the Beast on Broadway. In a wonderful tour de force, she provides us
with fascinating impersonations of none other than Ethel Merman,
Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis and Marlene Dietrich. And if the audience
applause during the curtain call is any indicator, she steals the show!

SUN NEWSPAPERS by Kim Cool |
Rounding our the troupe is Christianne Tisdale who can do Ethel Merman
almost better than Ethel Merman. So good are her impersonations of several
females, that she nearly steals the show, especially by holding notes as
long as Merman ever did. Her gift for comedy was apparent with her first
appearance as she sashayed across the stage holding signs for Chicago and
Philadelphia...As Merman, she stepped...into stardom.
